Adolph sent Alma and her parents on a trip to Denmark to meet family when she was twenty-three, where she had an amazing photograph of her wearing an incredible hat. I loved the amazing size and the glamor of the hat, so I reimagined it in the opulent style of Danielle Steel. The photograph is in black and white, and though it is possible that her hat was a dusty rose, it probably is only dusty rose in my dreams.
